Earlier this month we had a beautiful surprise in the mail, our very own copy of Dion Lee’s Line II book, created to launch his secondary fashion line, a capsule collection that celebrates soft shirting and tailoring.
The Dion Lee Line II Spring 2011 collection consists of 15 styles in beautiful silk and cotton fabrics and showcases Lee’s signature design details like unconventional cutaways that create an interesting new silhouette.
To celebrate the launch of Line II, Lee teamed up with photographer Bec Parsons, art director Kate Rogers and stylist Christine Centenera to create a 200 page book feature 20 girls wearing the collection. Showcasing the ease and relaxed style of the collection, the imagery in the book is a refreshing change from highly stylized and over exposed fashion photobooks.
While we would have loved to show off all 200 pages here, we took a few photos of our favourite pages and create a short video, watch it above and do some model spotting. We could only spot Australia’s Next Top Model runner-up Cassi Van Den Dungen in the book, but if you recognize any more faces let us know!
