Book it: The first Alexander McQueen, Genius of a Generation

In life timing is everything, and even in his untimely death, Alexander McQueen has given the perfect promotion for fashion journalist, Kristin Knox’s book about the influential British fashion designer. Titled ‘Alexander McQueen, Genius of a Generation’ it is the first book about the designer since he committed suicide in February. In 128 pages the book traces the life of McQueen and is illustrated with over 120 images. The book is published by A&C Black and will be available next month. [Telegraph]

The question on our lips is: was the book already in motion before Lee McQueen’s death in February or was it pulled together as news was still breaking. Yes, it’s a little cynical of us to think it’s a timely cash cow, but we had to ask.
