It was my first fashion outing that had nothing to do with a fashion week (remember, the Australian premier of The September Issue was part of the RSFF launch) – Australian photographer Russell James was in town to launch is retrospective photography book in Australia with help from Kristin Davis, aka Charlotte York Goldenblatt from Sex and the City.

As soon as we walked into the custom built cube down at Sydney’s Circular Quay, it was evident that Vitamin Water were the sponsors with a tower almost as tall at the ceiling lined with bottles of the drink in a rainbow of colours, then there were the amazing shots Victoria’s Secrets Angels that James had photographed. It was a little daunting to be in a room where the walls are lined with blown up images of Alessandra Ambrosio, Gisele Bündchen, Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima, but as soon as she arrived, all eyes were on Kristin Davis.

Looking just as flawless as she does on screen, Imelda and I couldn’t help ourselves and accosted Kirstin for a photo a little later into the evening. Though to be honest, we were loitering in the area first so she joined our posse (made up of food bloggers and two fashion bloggers) and come on, as if you wouldn’t have tried to do the same? ;)

Unfortunately in the fleeting few seconds it took to take the photos, we couldn’t ask her about Sex and the City movie no. 2.
