Sass & Bide launch Eyewear – and show of their hipster factor by modelling it themselves

The creative gals behind Sass & Bide sure know how to cater to their crew – they’ve added a collection of ultra-hip sunglasses to their growing empire. Entitled King of Plenty, the launch of the first 10-piece Sass & Bide eyewear collection for 2011-12 is all about fine detailing, modern silhouettes competing with vintage inspirations and memories of a past reconnection tomorrow.

To show off their style – and model-like staff – some of the Sass & Bide team joined Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton in front of the camera to model the collection for the look book. Bold and unashamedly so, the sunglasses all share a common thread, they cover a hipster girls requirement when it comes to cool sunglasses, they must be statement pieces. The Sass & Bide sunglasses also feature a detail that is close to the designer duo’s heart – a star is featured on the tip of every arm, which is echoes a small star tattoo that Sarah-Jane and Heidi share to symbolise their friendship.

Sarah-Jane and Heidi were joined in their advertising campaign by Pip Edwards (senior creative & accessories designer), Samantha De Kauw (marketing manager), Georgina Rex (art director), Clementine Maconachie (visual merchandising manager) and “Mecks” (pr/marketing co-ordinator).

Sass & Bide’s King of Plenty sunglasses collection will launch in their boutiques and consession spaces in Myer and selected optical retailers around Australia from September 1, 2011. Stay tuned for international launch details.
