SPOTLIGHT: SASS & BIDE at New York Spring Fashion Week 2005

It's New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2005, and who's gracing the catwalks on the opening day? Australia's own Sass & Bide.

Over the last few years the Aussie duo of Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton have made quite a splash all over the world with their ultra cool jeans that have a cult following in Australia and growing in status worldwide. The most popular? Their signature East Village jeans - with an ultra-sexy, 2-inch zip - comes in a variety fo colours and to top it all off they won't cost you an arm and leg.

Sass & Bide aren't as unknown as you might think, gracing the red carpets all around the world, as well as the small screen by the girls from Sex And The City. Up and coming The O.C actress, Mischa Barton could have had her pick of any designer she wanted, but chose to wear a trademark Sass & Bide grey top with sequins for this year's Nickelodeon's Kid's Choice Awards.

Their new Spring 2005 collection, Wolnation, take another step towards the medieval with a sexy twist. The New York Fashion Week show introduced them to the world and the USA. Staying true to the glamour and sparkle of their previous collections, Clarke and Middleton created a collection of floaty mini skirts, crocheted dresses, tailored cropped jackets, and ruffled and colourful printed dresses and tops.

Feathers adorning the model's hair and their make up was dark and mysterious as each one strutted out oozing sex appeal and sparkling like every girl deserves to.
