SPOTLIGHT: Australian Fashion Week - Willow

Day three of MAFW and Hollywood's new favourite designer, Willow, took to the catwalk with a Spring/Summer collection that can be worn from day into night. Signifying a style that bridges the gap between old and new, the show opened with a tenor singing 'Ave Maria' while standing alongside hanging disco balls.

Debuting her designs just two years ago at Australian Fashion Week, this year Kit Willow Michelmore showcased sheer grecian tops and frocks, skirts with contrast seaming, crushed silks, tailored jackets and knee-high boots. Sporting Kylie-esque braids, the Willow girl this coming season will be wearing earth tones, shimmery tops and layered satin dresses to take her from the boardroom to the dance floor.

Willow describes itself as a sensual, timeless, unpretentious luxury and it would seem that much of young Hollywood agrees. Celebrities such as Mischa Barton, Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz, Katie Holmes and Nicole Ritchie have all been spotted wearing piece from the Willow label, helping to nudge it onto the international arena.
