Collette Dinnigan flew in to show her 2008 resort collection in the Qantas First Lounge at the Sydney International Airport to the Sydney fashion pack.
Last week’s fashion show marked the first time the Australian designer has shown a collection in Australia in two years.
“It is my most Australian-inspired collection to date,” she said in reference to her Kookaburra and Waratah print bikinis – the former being a Australian native bird, with the later a native flower.
As soon as I saw this MinkPink ‘Love is a Battlefield’ logo tshirt, my mind flashed back to the scene in the Jennifer Garner movie, 13 going on 30 (also known as Suddenly 30), where she is teaching the teenaged girls the Pat Benatar ‘Love is a Battlefield’ dance moves.
The songs original film clip is playing in the background as the girls learn all about 80s style girl power. So come on girls, sing along with me…
“We are young, heartache to heartache we stand
No promises, no demands
Love is a battlefield”
While hitting up London’s hottest nightspots, Mischa Barton was spotted wearing a Missoni mini dress, pairing the Italian designer dress with a bag from another Italian label – the Gucci Indy bag. What was interesting to note was that the leggy starlet was also wearing a pair of gold French Sole ballet flats. Good to know that even celebrities will wear flats when club hopping!
Pick up your own Missoni dress online, our favourites are (left to right):
Missoni Yellow dress £798. A lightweight dress made with a similar weave to Mischa’s, the shape is simple with the pretty summer colours a beautiful standout feature.
Missoni Cassandra tunic top, £872.34. Sure this isn’t a dress, but the likes of Mischa Barton, Sienna Miller and Lindsay Lohan would probably wear it as a mini dress anyway. So why not give it a go yourself with this black satin trimmed zigzag knit Missoni tunic.
