Naomi Campbell forgets that she’s been a Vogue cover girl

It’s probably a good thing Naomi Campbell doesn’t ply her trade in an industry which requires her to check her facts before making accusations. The black British model reportedly said that British Vogue is racist because they have never put her on their cover.
“They’ll put the same white model for half the year — I swear like six times, but wouldn’t put me on once in my own country. But I still want my British Vogue cover,” said Naomi while discussing racial discrimination on the catwalk recently.
She also said she appeared on the cover of French Vogue only because Yves Saint Laurent “called up … and told them he’d pull his ads if they didn’t. So of course I got the cover.”
If you check Vogue.co.uk’s Cover archive, you will see that Naomi has graced the cover of UK Vogue eight times since 1987, five times solo, once with P Diddy, and twice with various other models. Maybe the “same white model” she’s talking about is model buddy Kate Moss who’s appeared on the cover 24 times since 1993…

In an interview with the Star Tribune to promote her Bitten collection for US chain store, Steve & Barry’s, Sarah Jessica Parker was quoted as saying:

I think Lindsay forgot to wear tights or pants with this top. It’s not a dress hunny!
