Inspired by? Silver handbag with buckle detail

We’re testing your designer bag knowledge at SASSYBELLA.com

Yuck, faux metallic silver leather. Can it get any more in-your-face? The original version of this bag isn’t as famous as it’s sister bags that have been seen toted around by the likes of Victoria Beckham and Kate Hudson - and that’s all the clues you’re getting, everyone seems to be really good at this now.

Can you answer the following questions?

1. What is name of the (real) bag and it’s designers’ name?

2. For extra points, can you tell me what are the differences?

P.S. If designer inspired bags are your thing, you can buy this one for $36.99 at AccessoryBug.com.

Inspired by? Brown faux leather satchel

We’re testing your designer bag knowledge at SASSYBELLA.com

The last guess the ‘inspired by’ bag was a little hard to guess, but Eliza did get it right with her guess. Now can you tell me what designer bag inspired this brown faux leather satchel? The original version of this bag was long coveted by me, because I finally caved and bought it. The demand for the original bag was so high that the French design hose started making variations of the design. So, can you tell me:

1. What is name of the (real) bag and it’s designers’ name?

2. For extra points, can you tell me what are the differences?

P.S. If designer inspired bags are your thing, you can buy this one for $37.99 at AccessoryBug.com.

1. What is name of the (real) bag and it’s designers’ name?

2. For extra points, can you tell me what are the differences?

Inspired by? Shiny black patent leather bag

We’re testing your designer bag knowledge at SASSYBELLA.com

Can you tell me what designer bag inspired this black faux patent leather bag? It was given to major Beauty Directors and Editors in America last Christmas, and is still incredibly hard to track down (unless you’ve made a trip to Thailand).

With its similar shape, chain and shiny material, you can pick this up for $38.99 at AccessoryBug.com. But…

1. What is name of the (real) bag and it’s designers’ name?

2. For extra points, can you tell me what are the differences?

A dress design done by Brian Reyes, then Gucci and Carl

Talk about designer inspired. Fashionista pointed out that a dress designed by Brian Reyes and worn by Mischa Barton last year has popped up on the recent Gucci Cruise 2008 collection. Now it’s popped up again, this time designed by Australian designer Carl Kapp for his winter 2007 collection in stores now.

Sure it’s a gorgeous dress in it’s first carnation (and looked hot on Mischa), the Gucci carnation is floating and pretty… but the Carl design? It’s very pleated and not sitting right on the mannequin.

What do you think?

If you love the front panel detail in at the base of the plunging neckline, you can buy the Carl Blue Tucked Dress for AUD$690 (approx US$586) from FrockShop.
