Michelle Trachtenberg’s got a jewelry line called Bella Veritas?

Yup, you read it right, the actress that is currently guest staring in Gossip Girl has been dabbling in the world of jewelry design as well as blogging about her days on the set of the popular TV drama for Cosmopolitan.

It was way back in late 2006 when Michelle Trachtenberg launched her Bella Veritas jewelry collection; which is made up of hand-made pieces created with semi-precious stones and feature silver charms in the shape of handcuffs, skulls and guns, hearts, Buddha icons and four leaf clovers.

And it seems that she will plug it any way she can since she hasn’t held back on talking about Bella Veritas (Latin for beautiful truth) on her Cosmo blog, with Trachtenberg letting readers know all about her hobby:

But I have to admit, the item I’m most excited to wear is the black onyx gold skull necklace from my own jewelry line, “Bella Veritas.” I started making necklaces as a side hobby and really just for fun (anyone who knows me will tell you I can’t sit still!). Slowly but surely after passing my necklaces out as gifts to my friends I decided to take my necklace making show on the road! Every piece is one of a kind, hand made by me. I use semi precious stones l tourmalines, peridots, amethyst, topaz, garnets etc. And they have an awesome little charm to add some extra bling. I also make bracelets because I think you can never stop layering your jewels! And really, who doesn’t love to add some sparkle to their outfits?!

Frances Bean Cobain for Chanel?

Celebrity spawn turned model seems to be the fashion trend of the moment. Just look like Lou Doillon, Daisy Lowe, Coco Summer and Dakota Johnson.

Now there are reports (albeit from the Daily Mail) that the 15-year-old daughter and Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain is wanted by Karl Lagerfeld to appear in his next advertising campaign.

“She’s only young, but there’s a lot of interest in Frances,” a friend revealed to the Daily Mail. “She is incredibly pretty and has the most perfect porcelain skin. She and her mother are having talks with Karl about Frances appearing in his next ad campaign.”

But Courtney Love is not loving the idea of her teenage daughter pursuing a career in fashion.

“Courtney is concerned about Frances pursuing a catwalk career at such a young age, so she has been involved in all the talks so far,” the source said.

Model Rachel Clark lets slip she’s Victoria Secret’s newest Angel

Just as Victoria’s Secret celebrates their 10 year anniversary of the Victoria’s Secret “Angels”, one of their newest recruits lets slip that she’s just joined their ranks on her personal blog.

The current face of Louis Vuitton Cruise gave away the news on her private blog, but that didn’t stop NY Mag from getting a peek at her posts.

According to NY Mag she told her readers on April 4 that:

“I’ll also be doing the main line, not just Pink. Though I remember there being clothing in the main line. I’m sure they wont stick me in undies. I’m sure of it.”

Then two days later:

“Hmm I dunno. The whole ‘am I doing pink or the normal line or the pink online or pink catalog or magalog or OMG what is a magalog anyway?‘ issue is beyond my head in confusing details at this point. No one knows, I’m just rolling with it.”

Then she went to the shoot and on April 8 she reports:

“It’s official. I hearts shooting with the VS people.”

Heidi Klum says America wants her to dress them

One of the challenges Heidi Klum has set for Project Runway contestants has been to redesign US Postal uniforms in season 1, and according to the show’s host, America wants her to redesign their work uniform.

“I go to the same Starbucks every day in Beverly Hills and they’re like, ‘Can you please tell them that we want to have new outfits?’” Heidi said recently. “I sit in American Airlines, same thing. I get it all the time. Those chains or big companies, they always come to me. It would be fun, because so many people would see the results.”

While it’s a cute idea to have Heidi Klum design your work uniform, what experience would she have in fashion design?

More importantly, would Nina Garcia and Michael Kors like it?

I sincerely hope the quote has been misquoted and Starbucks and American Airlines workers don’t want Heidi herself to design their uniforms. Especially with the Van Cleef & Arpels lawsuit against her jewelery designs.

Audrey Tautou for Chanel No.5?

Popular French actress, Audrey Tautou, is rumored to be the new face of Chanel No. 5, following the likes of Nicole Kidman, Carole Bouquet, Catherine Deneuve and Estella Warren as a face for the iconic fragrance.

The WWD is reporting that the actress lined up to play Coco Chanel in an upcoming biopic may reunite with her Amelie director, Jean-Pierre Jeunett, to film the spot. Much like Nicole Kidman teaming up with her Moulin Rouge director, Baz Luhrmann, for her Chanel No. 5 commercial.

Question is, will Audrey’s character in the television commercial be inspired by Amelie like Nicole’s was inspired by Satine’s?

Can you see Audrey as the face of Chanel No. 5?

Linda Evangelista for Prada Fall 2008/09??

Is Russian model, Sasha Pivovarova about to be dethroned by nineties supermodel, Linda Evangelista as the face of Prada for fall winter 2008/09?

That’s what the rumours flying around the web have been saying. There are even reports that Evangelista will be photographed famed photographer Steven Meisel, but it could also be for an upcoming issue of Italian Vogue.

While we’d love to see a new face fronting the Prada advertising campaigns, as well as Evangelista back in the ad campaigns, we’re more inclined to believe that the photoshoot will be for Italian Vogue.

But it’s not the most far flung rumour, after all Chanel and Louis Vuitton have used nineties supermodels in their recent campaigns.

Could you see Linda Evangelista the face of Prada?

Zac Posen the fragrance and the dance?

Zac Posen has been getting quite a few inches in Page Six’s columns of late. The young designer seems to be busy creating his first fragrance and creating inventive new ways to heat up the dance floor.

“I’m getting ready for a fragrance launch as well. It should be done by December - it will be huge!” Posen told Page Six the Diffa dinner at Skylight Studios last week.

Then the gossip column spotted Posen dancing up a storm a week later doing some martial art-like moves n the dance floor.

“He looked like he was doing ninja moves over and over and then he started teaching everyone else what he was doing,” said one partygoer. “He was in jeans and looked like he hadn’t shaved in a week.”

Can we be expecting ninja style clothes from Zac’s next collection then?

Did Miuccia Prada really stipulate you should not eat lunch at your desk

Miuccia Prada has quite a list of rules for her staff, if Page Six are to be believed (and they usually can be relied upon).

In a leaked memo, apparently sent out directly from Miuccia herself, she stipulates that all window shades on one side of a room should either be completely up or down, and you must not eat lunch at your desk.

Though the lunch at the desk rule is because “it is important to take a break from your workday and enjoy your lunch.”

Other Miuccia rules include:

  • Desk and work surfaces should be clean and uncluttered. Pictures, calendars, etc. should not be taped to cubicle/office walls.
  • Pets may not be brought to the corporate office or the store.
  • For corporate employees, all coats should be hung in the appropriate coat room and not kept in offices or hung over cubicle walls.
  • Items may not be placed on the window sills.

What happens if you don’t follow these rules? Well you “may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.”

So is the Devil really Prada? What do you think of her rules?

Karl Lagerfeld photographs Raquel Zimmermann for Fendi FW08

Karl Lagerfeld has everyone on the web quite excited - he has been spotted around New York shooting advertising campaigns for the fashion houses he oversees. Claudia Schiffer (sporting a short black bob) was first photographed over the weekend in Central Park for Chanel’s fall campaign, then earlier this week he was aiming his lense at Raquel Zimmermann in Madison Square Park for Fendi’s fall campaign.

This video shows Raquel swinging a Fendi bag (which looks very much like a Chloe Edith) before a giant Fendi logo statue is set up for her to pose in front of. Watch Lagerfeld at work surrounded by dozens of people, can you spot which are the security guards, the Fendi folk and the spectators?
