Kate Moss’ white wedding for Agent Provocateur

As Billy Idol sang, it’s a nice day for a white wedding, so today is an good as any to talk about Kate Moss playing a virginal bride for Agent Provocateur.

As the blogosphere revealed a few weeks ago, Kate Moss was being photographed by Nick Knight for her latest film series for Agent Provocateur, the first of which will launch tomorrow. Kate was chosen to play the virgin bride while Jake and Dinos Chapman (English conceptual artsist) will be introduced into the pivotal roles of the vicars performing the service.

Over the next few nights, ShowStudio will release a series of Nick Knight’s interpretation of Joe Corré’s script in stills and film.

Ohh we can’t wait, but Kate as a virgin bride? Seriously.

Stephanie Seymour the Victoria’s Secret Angel to Chantelle spokesperson

Supermodel Stephanie Seymour Bryant has been the face of Victoria’s Secret and is the current spokesperson for French lingerie house, Chantelle, but the new contributing fashion editor for Interview magazine reveals that her real love of lingerie didn’t develop until after her 10 year stint as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

“In my twenties, I didn’t wear too many bras, or maybe culottes,” she laughed. “I got to appreciate them–their shapes and names and garments–through Azzedine Alaïa.”

“The French really know lingerie, they get it. They understand how a properly fitted, well-designed bra can change your whole shape. A dress that looks blah can be transformed by the right undergarment. ”

It wasn’t until after she finished up with Victoria’s Secret that she discovered her true bra size when in 2000 a friend took her to a lingerie shop to buy a “good and proper bra” because in her twenties she didn’t like them. (Err, what does that say for the brand she fronted first?)

Keep your eye out for the new Chantelle advertising campaign, photographed by Peter Lindbergh.

It’s official: Collette Dinnigan to design lingerie for Target Australia

Last month it was rumoured that popular Australian evening wear designer, Collette Dinnigan, would design a lingerie collection for Target Australia. The news was been confirmed today with more details released to the public.

Set to be called Wild Hearts (like her collection for Marks & Spencer in 2006), the Dinnigan lingerie collection will make her designs available to a wider Australian audience, and unlike their Designers for Target collaborations, this one will reportedly last until the end of 2008.

“My teaming with (Target) was never a one-off,” Dinnigan said to the Courier Mail. “I wanted to do this with a company that could grow (lingerie) as a big department in their stores, and I think, especially in lingerie, they need a good quality product. I always thought there’d be two reactions: ‘Oh my god, why Target?’ and ‘Fantastic, we can get it at a good price’.”

The collection will include fancy lingerie at Target prices, watch out for French knickers, corsets, chemises, balconette and plunge bras, briefs and boy shorts in champagne, cream, raspberry, black and chocolate.

The collection will be launched in selected Target Australia stores on April 17 – just two weeks after the Zac Posen for Target Australia will be launched.

‘Fair Trial My Arse’ says Agent Provocateur and Reprieve

Agent Provocateur has always been a little on the cheeky side, and if they have something to say they say it. And that’s just what co-founder Joe Corre has done.

When he reportedly discovered that members of Reprieve, a U.K. human rights charity, had been accused of smuggling undies to a prisoner held at Guantánamo Bay, he decided to help. Obviously not by smuggling in some Agent Provocatuer knickers, after all he could get in a bit of trouble, but by creating the “Fair Trial My Arse” panties with Reprieve founder Clive Stafford Smith.

“I don’t really mind who buys them, or if we sell any at all,” said Corre. “As a company we’ve often taken an interest in the political theater. Whoever said you can’t mix business with politics is obviously an idiot, as the two are inextricably linked.”

The bright orange knickers match the orange of a prison jumpsuit and are on sale down in AP stores in the US and UK with half the proceeds going to Reprieve.

Karolina Kurkova on bras and spring colours at the Victoria’s Secret BioFit Uplift bra launch

Victoria’s Secret models Karolina Kurkova and Adriana Lima launched the new BioFit Uplift bra in LA yesterday. Said to be a everyday-sexy bra which features cup-specific enhancement which lifts according to your bra size, so naturally as the cup size increase, the padding in the BioFit Uplift decreases.

As one of the faces of the BioFit Uplift, Kurkova took some time out to answer some questions from us.

SASSYBELLA (SB): You must own a lot of lingerie working at Victoria’s Secret, what’s your favorite item from your collection (besides the new BioFit of course)?
Karolina Kurkova (KK): Well I love the new BioFit Uplift bra is made for every women of every size. I love it because it gives me added support and a natural looking lift. But my other faves include the Very Sexy line which are soft and comfy and I love the boy shorts from the PINK line because they are colorful.

SB: What are your top Spring 2008 trends, in lingerie and clothes?
KK: Bold colors in lingerie and softer, more muted color in clothes such as light lavender, greys and khakis. Layering is big. Wearing these colors together, you should have the lingerie peeking through to give it a pop of color.

So naturally… the BioFIt Uplift bra would be the lingerie of choice, it does come in a great range of bright spring colours.

Victoria’s Secret has released its third annual What is Sexy? List for 2008 with Victoria Beckham named as the Sexiest Mum, and Kate Bosworth with her sectoral heterochromia (one of her eyes is hazel, the other blue) has the Sexiest Eyes.

The list consists of the usual suspects, who’s the sexiest couple (Fergie and Josh Duhamel), has the sexiest style (Scarlett Johansson), but has a few interesting categories thrown in for good effect, like who has the sexiest lips (Jessica Biel) and who are the sexiest cast (Dirty Sexy Money).
