Carrie Bradshaw wears 81 outfits in the city

Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in Sex and the City the television series inspired many fashion trends and the upcoming movie is set to make even bigger waves.

Carrie Bradshaw is said to have worn 81 outfits. Yes, eighty-one.

In her upcoming appearance on Oprah, SJP lets slip that she went through many outfit changes, with 200 changes between Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.

We’ve only seen about 10 different looks on Carrie through paparazzi shots and movie stils, so we’ll have to wait another few weeks before we can see all 81 outfits for ourselves. Let’s just hope we see some amazing combinations unlike this one on the right.

Have you pre-booked your tickets for yourself and your best friends at a cinema near you?

Heidi Klum by Jordache - can you spot the Project Runway host?

She may judge fashion designers on Project Runway, but Heidi Klum has her own line of premium denim with Jordache and popped into Bloomingdales last week to launch the collection. But when the models are looking alarmingly similar to you, pouts, hair and all, wouldn’t you be a bit worried?

The Heidi Klum by Jordache collection is stocked exclusively in Bloomingdales with jeans customized to fit every body type and finished with Heidi’s signature clover emblem, intricate inseam stitching and detailed belt looks. Denim aside the spring summer 2008 collection featuring embellished jeweled tops, silk chamois blouses with rosette appliqués and hand-beaded knits.

The collection is set to retail at the almost-affordable price of $140 to $298.

Question is, what ever happened to the lawsuit Van Cleef & Arpel had against Klum using the clover shape as her “emblem” as the release called it?

Steve & Barrys to sell Sex and the City movie tees and tanks

It sure comes in handy when you have a collaboration deal with the star of one of the hottest movies to be released this year. Steve & Barry’s are probably going to cash in when they release their collection of official Sex and the City: The Movie line of tees and tanks as part of Sarah Jessica Parker’s Bitten collection.

The retail chain now want you to get “Carried” away today as the Sex and the City: The Movie t-shirts and tank tops are released. Each top features SATC style phrases such as “I’m with Mr. Big” and “I (Heart) Sex and the City,” and stills from the movie.

A percentage of the merchandise sale will go towards helping the Childen’s DefenseFund and with each piece available for $8.98 or less… even if you wear the tops to bed, it’s already a bargain.

Kate Moss’ white wedding for Agent Provocateur

As Billy Idol sang, it’s a nice day for a white wedding, so today is an good as any to talk about Kate Moss playing a virginal bride for Agent Provocateur.

As the blogosphere revealed a few weeks ago, Kate Moss was being photographed by Nick Knight for her latest film series for Agent Provocateur, the first of which will launch tomorrow. Kate was chosen to play the virgin bride while Jake and Dinos Chapman (English conceptual artsist) will be introduced into the pivotal roles of the vicars performing the service.

Over the next few nights, ShowStudio will release a series of Nick Knight’s interpretation of Joe Corré’s script in stills and film.

Ohh we can’t wait, but Kate as a virgin bride? Seriously.

Shop Rami Kashou online

Christian Siriano might be getting all the publicity as far as Project Runway 4 alumi are concerned, but it’s Rami Kashou’s draped designs that women will probably buy more of - after all the man designs for the woman’s body while Christian designs for the likes of Victoria Beckham.

His spring 2008 collection has hit Maximillia.com.au and I must admit I was a little disappointed that there weren’t more Grecian designs - even though the Project Runway judges wanted him to branch out from that.

The prices are quite reasonable for the flirty girlie designs. Sort of.

His spring 2008 collection is also available at Maneaterthreads.com.

Sassy Item of the Day: Robert Rodriguez Rose Dress

Robert Rodriguez Rose Strapless Dress

Love it because: this is an ideal cocktail dress for a spring party.

The peridot coloured dress starts off simple before opening out into a beautiful rose created by layers upon layers of ruffles. The pintuck detail and hidden boning helps keep the silhouette in check and sleek while the flower evokes rather romantic ideals… if only it came in a beautiful rich red colour too.

Price: $429

Buy it now from: ShopBop.com

Stephanie Seymour the Victoria’s Secret Angel to Chantelle spokesperson

Supermodel Stephanie Seymour Bryant has been the face of Victoria’s Secret and is the current spokesperson for French lingerie house, Chantelle, but the new contributing fashion editor for Interview magazine reveals that her real love of lingerie didn’t develop until after her 10 year stint as a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

“In my twenties, I didn’t wear too many bras, or maybe culottes,” she laughed. “I got to appreciate them–their shapes and names and garments–through Azzedine Alaïa.”

“The French really know lingerie, they get it. They understand how a properly fitted, well-designed bra can change your whole shape. A dress that looks blah can be transformed by the right undergarment. ”

It wasn’t until after she finished up with Victoria’s Secret that she discovered her true bra size when in 2000 a friend took her to a lingerie shop to buy a “good and proper bra” because in her twenties she didn’t like them. (Err, what does that say for the brand she fronted first?)

Keep your eye out for the new Chantelle advertising campaign, photographed by Peter Lindbergh.

Watch out America, Peter Alexander is coming

He is Australia’s pajamas king and after carving out a niche for himself with his adorable retail stores, Peter Alexander is taking his pajamas to the USA.

Ragtrader are reporting that the American expansion of Peter Alexander is finally happening with the first Peter Alexander store set to open up at Valley Fair Mall in San Jose next month with the full collection of sleepwear, lingerie and accessories available. The Californian boutique will be followed by two more stores in Los Angeles later in the year.

“The Peter Alexander brand is a leader in the attractive sleewear and loungewear market and our product offering is ideally suited to the American market, especially in the dynamic and fashion-conscious state of California,” said Jason Murray, Just Group’s (PA’s proprietor) managing director.

For those of you who haven’t heard of Peter Alexander, think Victoria’s Secret Pink but with less emphasis on the high school/college years. Check out their website here.

Heidi Klum says America wants her to dress them

One of the challenges Heidi Klum has set for Project Runway contestants has been to redesign US Postal uniforms in season 1, and according to the show’s host, America wants her to redesign their work uniform.

“I go to the same Starbucks every day in Beverly Hills and they’re like, ‘Can you please tell them that we want to have new outfits?’” Heidi said recently. “I sit in American Airlines, same thing. I get it all the time. Those chains or big companies, they always come to me. It would be fun, because so many people would see the results.”

While it’s a cute idea to have Heidi Klum design your work uniform, what experience would she have in fashion design?

More importantly, would Nina Garcia and Michael Kors like it?

I sincerely hope the quote has been misquoted and Starbucks and American Airlines workers don’t want Heidi herself to design their uniforms. Especially with the Van Cleef & Arpels lawsuit against her jewelery designs.
