Carrie Brawdshaw’s Manolo Blahnik Satin Movie Pumps from the Sex and the City movie

Manolo Blahnik Satin Movie Pumps
from the Sex and the City movie

Love it because: These gorgeous royal blue pumps played an important role in the Sex and the City movie… from helping Carrie Bradshaw feel at home in her new closet to bringing people together, the pumps were almost the 5th main character in the long awaited movie.

Cover in regal royal blue satin, it features a stunning crystal detail on the vamp which is encased in silver tone hardware. And they’re not just any pair of Manolo’s, they were designed especially for the movie

Price: $895 – now this is rather interesting.

In the closing stages of the movie, Carrie actually states that these Manolos Blahnik’s were $525. Which begs the question, how did Carrie get a $375 discount at Blahnik?

Buy it now: NeimanMarcus.com or a Manolo Blahnik boutique.

I think they’re pretty but only when worn right i can see so many ways this could go wrong

  • maddy says:

uh.. doesnt she say the $525 shoes were those purple ones? not the blue ones?

  • Fiona says:

Maddy, I think they were definitely talking about these shoes on the phone when a price was banided about…

i’m in a “blue” phase at the moment and geez i’ve been wanting these gorgies so badly since i watched the movie last week. i thought i’d probably get them when i heard Carrie say $525. but $895 now? i’ll put the money in my “chanel fund” instead haha.

These are pretty, but I wouldn’t buy them for $525 or $895. Though $895 is a total rip off – you wouldn’t want to wear them anywhere for fear of them getting a spec of dirt on them!

  • She says:

BUT THEY ARE GORGEEOUUUSS!!! 🙂 xx

The shoes were $525 in the beginning. But Manolo Blahnik stopped making the shoes a while back. But when Carrie wore them in the Sex and the City movie Manolo Blahnik decided to bring them back. Of course the price of the shoes increased because of the movie. Now the shoes are about $954, which is outrageous. But they are gorgeous anyway!

  • Sophia says:

oh i thought these shoes were specifically made for the movie!

i think the mark-ups in shoes (manolos, loubies, etc) are getting ridiculous. now i won’t buy them unless they are on sale or during sale season.

I love the color and the detail on these shoes! SJP and Manolo Blahnik sure make a great team.

  • Dani says:

What percentage of women can actually afford shoes that cost over $500. That is my monthly rent. I pray, what kind of jobs do you all have? And even if I had just sort of money. $525? Really? For a pair of shoes?

  • Denise says:

I got these shoes in Dublin for €420 which is definitely not over $900! Its probably about $550 or so. They’re soooooo comfortable and gets so many admiring glances when you wear them. they’re great with jeans or dressed up too. Love them, love them, love them. I also got something similar in black. A girl has to sometimes!!! xxxxxxxxxx

  • Am says:

The shoes had actually not been made yet at the time of the filming for “the masses.” The price she stated in the movie was merely the guestimate of the script writers.

When Manolo produced the shoes for retailers post-production, they determined the price. Obviously, they could not re-shoot the scene to account for the correct price.
