Everyone is jumping on the eco friendly bandwagon with tote bags, but what about the 2.5 mllion plastic water bottles are thrown away every hour in the United States alone. So Elle magazine and Sigg Switzerland have enlisted some top fashion designers to bring awareness to the issue.
Stella McCartney, Diane Von Furstenberg, Zac Posen, Michael Kors, Philip Lim, Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole, Anna Sui, Brian Reyes, Chris Benz, Peter Som and Sienna and Savannah Miller were each asked to design their own unique Sigg aluminum water bottle which will be auctioned off on eBay from April 14th.
The designs ranged from pretty prints, colourful illustrations to the designers autographs. The proceeds of the auction will be donated to StopGlobalWarming.org - check out the full range of bottles here.
I love Phillip Lim’s illustrations on his bottle, while the kitsch factor of the Anna Sui bottle is just fabulous.

This is such a fun idea - I’ve had a SIGG for about 2 months now and simply LOVE it. It keeps my water so cold and it’s great to grab quickly for the gym or work, and best of all, it’s easy to clean so no leeching plastic worries. Had a hard time picking my fave color/design, but ended up with this one, because the color is soooo vibrant it’s mesmerizing (a little distracting on the treadmill
