Alice Temperley is ‘Mercedes-Benz Presents’ Designer for NY Fashion Week Fall 08/09

The major sponsor of Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week Fall 2008/09 has named Temperley London, the boho-chic British fashion label headed by Alice Temperley, has been chosen as the “Mercedes-Benz Presents” designer.
“Temperley London and Mercedes-Benz are a natural fit,” said Stephen Cannon, vice president of marketing for Mercedes-Benz USA. “Our customers share a strong appreciation for high quality, high standards and timeless design.”
So… does that mean Mercedes-Benz are the major sponsors for the Temperley London show at Bryant Park this Wednesday, February 6 at 7pm? What exactly is a Mercedes-Benz Presents designer?
