Victoria Beckham is Victoria’s Secret’s Sexiest Mum for 2008

Victoria’s Secret has released its third annual What is Sexy? List for 2008 with Victoria Beckham named as the Sexiest Mum, and Kate Bosworth with her sectoral heterochromia (one of her eyes is hazel, the other blue) has the Sexiest Eyes.

The list consists of the usual suspects, who’s the sexiest couple (Fergie and Josh Duhamel), has the sexiest style (Scarlett Johansson), but has a few interesting categories thrown in for good effect, like who has the sexiest lips (Jessica Biel) and who are the sexiest cast (Dirty Sexy Money).

And in honor of their 2008 list, the Victoria’s Secret Angels will be in Arizona to celebrate the What Is Sexy? 2008 on Valentine’s Day, with a one-hour television special hosted by angel, Adriana Lima, entitled “Victoria’s Secret: What is Sexy? 2008″ will air on Saturday, February 9th.

No doubt they will explain how they came to choose the What is Sexy? List for 2008. Check out the full list below.

It pays if you’re a female model on the Bravo reality TV show, Make Me A Supermodel right now, because the girls will get their first taste of New York Fashion Week thanks to one of Style.com’s 10 Most Promising Up-And-Comers, Russian designer Alexandr Terekhov.

The Tara Subkoff for Bebe twelve-piece collection will include pieces that women would need into their wardrobes, but given a more feminine feel with ruffles, heart prints and colour contrasting.

“I knew a great deal about Tara’s line with Easy Spirit, and I really felt that she would be a great person to add a bit of edginess to our company,” said Greg Scott, Bebe’s chief executive officer. “Tara also really felt that the line should be on par with our own retail prices. We worked really hard to make that happen.”

First Lagerfeld the statue, now he’s going to be a teddy bear

teddy Karl Lagerfeld’s image has been immortalized in so many different ways that he’s seemingly a regular Halloween costume for the fashion crowd. But soon he will be immortalized as a teddy bear by German teddy bear maker, Steiff.

Word is the cute and cuddly version off Kaiser Karl will come complete with his trademarks: the sunglasses (the Lagerfeld brand?), the dark high collared suit (designed by Hedi Slimane?), and logo buckle belt.

With a company logo “only the best is good enough for children”, you could say Steiff and Lagerfeld have something in common quality wise?

On another note, while doing some teddy bear research I found a Lady Accountant bear… who seems to shop at Chanel. She’s wearing a very Chanel like pink jacket with black piping. All that’s missing is some pearls and her Chanel 2.55 hand bag. Too cute.

Zulema Griffn (or Shatangy) is back for fall 2008/09

When I think of Project Runway 2 alumi, Zulema Griffin, all I hear is “don’t make me go all Shatangy on your ass”.

For those who haven’t seen the reunion special for season 2, Shatangy (also spelt Shetangy, or Shatangi) was Griffin’s alter ego who laid down the law and ruled the roost so to speak.

Still designing, Griffin is gearing up to show her fall 2008/09 collection in New York like many other designers. But instead of showing at the tents like a few of the current crop from season 4 of PR, Shatangy Zulema is showing her show on YouTube and MySpace.

When asked by FlyPaper why she’s not showing at Bryant Park, Griffin was quite frank with her response.

“One, I’ve never been invited to show at the tents. In addition to that, I don’t have the funds. A small tent is $28,000 - that includes chairs…,” she said. “I also think because of the themes of my shows, nothing I’ve done done has lent itself to a traditional tent show.”

Chanel’s spring 1983 Haute Couture runway collection

We’re on the brink of another round of international fashion weeks, but let’s take a step back to 1983. It was the year Karl Lagerfeld showed his first Chanel collection - the Chanel Haute Couture collection for spring summer 1983.

The classic Lagerfeld bling and accessories are evident even in his first collection 25 years ago, where the models walked like women and not horses, and when Karl himself was a brunette.
