Before you try out for American’s Next Top Model, perhaps you should go through Modeling Camp in Virginia.

Now before you start thinking you’ll be put through your paces on the runway, it’s more of a etiquette and personal grooming camp, with workshops focusing on fashion and modeling.

The camp has been running since 1995 with over 600 girls attending from all over the world every year. It’s most famous alumni is Luka Sylwester who attended the camp in 1997 before going on to model in major fashion magazines. It might not guarantee you success in fashion, but it’s a start for teens.

Something to do this summer perhaps?

Natalie Portman has often mentioned in interviews that because of her vegetarian beliefs, all her shoes are all from Target or Stella McCartney - as they aren’t made from animal products.

Well now she can just wear her own designs.

In collaboration with Te Casan, Portman has designed a collection of vegan friendly shoes that will debut at the brand’s New York boutique in February 2008.

No word on what the shoes will look like - besides the Beatrix Ong-esque red patent Mary-Janes Portman is wearing on the Te Casan website - but you should be able to preview and pre-order pairs from January 15 with 5% of all vegan shoe profits will be going to charity.

The only questions that remains are - how much will the shoes cost, and will they destroy your feet?

Roberto Cavalli chooses to go Greek with his spring summer 2008 advertising campaign, choosing Kate Moss, Daria Werbowy and Eva Herzigova as the faces.

Photographed by Inez & Vinoodh, the campaign is a little hard to get a feel for. Perhaps it’s the pastel tinges in a Greek themed shoot, paired with strange poses that’s throwing off a strange vibe.

I definitely like the Cavalli for H&M campaign images a lot better, which were sexy, sultry and quintessentially Cavalli. At least Pete Doherty isn’t fronting the campaign with Kate again. (see more pictures below)

The good movie reviews for The Black Balloon, staring Toni Collette and Gemma Ward keep coming in, with the latest news being that the film has been chosen for the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival.

In the Black Balloon, Ward plays a teenager Jackie Masters, whose new boyfriend Thomas is struggling to cope with his autistic brother, Charlie. The Berlin International Film Festival runs from 7 - 17 February 2008, with The Black Balloon making its international premier there.

Anyone want to lay down some odds on whether or not the movie will win some of the prestigious awards?

Heidi Klum has been wearing her now famous four leaf clover jewelry a lot on Project Runway for the last few season, now she has just been served with a law suit by luxury jeweler Van Cleef and Arpels, claiming she copied a vintage clover jewelry design.

Van Cleef & Arpels are seeking more than $25,000 in damages from Klum’s company Heidi Klum GmbH and Mouawad USA, another company she has designed jewelry for since 2006. The suit claims that both companies attempted to gain benefit from Van Cleef’s esteemed reputation by creating and selling a similar clover design as Van Cleef’s vintage Alhambra jewelry line.

In the August 13, 2007 issue of Life & Style, it states that Klum found inspiration for “her signature clover motif in a cathedral in Milan, Italy“.

It’s not about the models this spring summer 2008 for Valentino, they’re just there to hold up the designer bags (preferably over their faces), wear their shoes and model their clothes.

While it’s very effective, one does have to wonder why did they hire four fabulous models like Raquel Zimmermann, Anja Rubik, Shalom Harlow, and Amber Valetta and have them hide behind hair or bags?

Sasha Pivovarova showed off the LG Prada phone earlier this year, now British ‘it’ model Agyness Deyn’s turn to show off the Samsung Giorgio Armani phone.

Like Prada, Armani keeps with the black and white theme, though the Giorgio Armani phone’s advertising campaign shows Agyness in a slightly more 90s light with the slicked hair. She sort of looks like Keira Knightley.

Cute. But is it sexy?

You’re looking at a gorgeous Lanvin spring summer piece, with the advertising campaign really shows off the lightness and boldness of Alber Elbaz’ spring summer 2008 collection for Lanvin. Photographed by Steven Meisel, it features Olga Sherer (again) in a rather awkward pose. But who’s looking at her when the gold just dominates the page?

I loved last season’s campaign and this season’s even more.
