The Fendi Baguette morphing into the Chanel 2.55 bag for spring?

The check list
- Shape? Similar
- The Fendi Baguette circa spring 2008 features the Fendi monogram (Chanel has its iconic quilted leather).
- The Fendi Baguette featured the Fendi logo as the clasp of the bag (the Chanel 2.55 bag features the Chanel logo).
- Creative director? Karl Lagerfeld on both counts
- Re designing the bag in bold youthful colours and materials to attract a younger market? Check
Needless to say I’m a little skeptical judging by these images, likewise of the Fendi spring summer 2008 advertising campaign.
It stars Raquel Zimmermann, who’s laden with as many Fendi accessories as the stylist could get their hands on. The simple white colours off set by the model and what she’s wearing is everything we’ve come to expect from Karl Lagerfeld’s photography.
What do you think?

The Fendi Baguette is becoming quite lust worthy, I couldn’t figure out why, but now it’s all clear to me. It’s morphing into my ultimate lust-have bag - the Chanel 2.55 (I’m being realistic, I will never be able to get my hands on a Hermes Birkin).
