Chanel Paris-Londres 2007/2008: the inspirations, the celebrities and the runway

It was a year of firsts for Karl Lagerfeld, this year marked his first show in China (on the Great Wall no less) and just last week he showed his first fashion collection in London.
As we reported yesterday, one of his beauty inspirations for the show was Amy Winehouse with a lot of the British Vogue video coverage giving us a peek into the backstage world. Beehives were adorned with glittering Chanel accessories, eye make-up was dark and lined, and oh the sight of all the Chanel make up as me wishing I could dash to their make up counter and buy up big. If only.
The video is worth watching - you get to see Natalia Vodianova in flats, Lily Cole, Lily Allen and Thandie Newton gushing about Chanel, and Karl talking about how London and Chanel are linked (for one, tweed was something Coco Chanel had picked up from England).
