Karl Lagerfeld’s strippers has Anna Wintour heading towards the exit

Almost 15 years ago, Karl Lagerfeld’s collection for Fendi in 1993 at Milan Fashion Week was modeless - but full of surprises for fashion editors.
The show was modeless because Lagerfeld “believed the clothes were simple enough to be understood with this kind of presentation,” said his assistant at the time, Gilles Dufour.
So most of the Fendi collection was displayed on mannequins, wearing pale knitted designs, black-and-white suits and dresses, and pastel suedes and prints. But Lagerfeld was not in attendance to see the reaction of his other display.
To model his line of swimsuits, Lagerfeld had Moana Pozzi, a star of Italian pornographic actress, and her attendants gyrated in lace-trimmed white swimsuits and red-and-white striped ones. According to reports from the day, US Vogue Editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, did not like the presentation and promptly left the show.
Can you blame her?

Yuck, I’d be walking out just like Anna. It’s a FENDI fashion show, not a sleezy bar after all.
