A DIY navy and pink French manicure

Fashion and beauty if often about making the most of what you have at arms length. After surfing upon this picture of a pretty black tipped French manicure on Seventeen, I wanted a French manicure myself.

Problem was, I had just put a fresh coat of Zoya’s Ariel polish on my nails the day before and didn’t want to take it off just yet. So I found myself cutting curved edges on bits of scotch tape, and painting over the exposed tips with a Revlon Dark Pleasures in Midnight Affair. After a coat of Dr Lewinns RevitaGloss topcoat it looked fresh as a daisy - without the airbrushed treatment of the Seventeen one. It took about 10 minutes to get it all done, but I love it and I’m already dreaming up my next colour combination! Perhaps white with metallic silver tips…

Thoughts? If only I could figure out how to get the Chanel logo on the pointer finger.
