Dita Down Under for Fashion Week

Rosemount Australian Fashion Week is nearing, with registration now open for delegates to apply for passes – for a small fee. If you’re lucky enough to get accepted you may be in for a chance to attend Dita von Teese’s Lipteese burlesque show at an invitation-only event at Foundation Hall in the Museum of Contemporary Art.

With MAC as the official cosmetics sponsor of Fashion Week, Dita will also attend the city’s week-long festivities as part of her Lipteese world tour – her eighth stop as part of efforts to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS prevention.

According to The Daily:

On April 28, the queen of burlesque and M.A.C Viva Glam spokeswoman will begin her visit with a check presentation of $100,000 to the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation, followed by an autograph signing for customers at Myer Sydney, City.

The show, a take on the early 20th-century striptease, features Von Teese along with a nine-foot mechanical VIVA Glam lipstick prop.

Dita will also be a guest fashion editor of Harper’s Bazaar Australia, reporting on Fashion Week with a 10-page photo spread for the June/July issue of the fashion glossy.
