Paris Hilton wears Tsubi Sunglasses and totes the LV Miroir Alma in Sydney

I have a sneaking suspicion that Paris Hilton has some sort of sponsorship deal with Louis Vuiton for her promotional trip to spend New Years in Sydney.

Paris is in Australia to promote blonde beer brand, Blondie’s, and has been hitting the town in various Louis Vuitton logo’d goods. From the white murakami triangle bikini to toting around oversized Louis Vuitton gold and silver Miroir Alma GM bags.

But she has also been snapped sporting one Aussie designer so far – Ksubi (or Tsubi, what ever they’re called now).

Paris was photographed stepping out of her hotel sporting a pair of Tsubi Grille sunglasses (that have also graced the face of Kate Moss) in white. Pick up a pair online at MyCatwalk.com.au or My-Wardrobe.com.

As for where to get the Louis Vuitton Miroir Alma bags They debuted at the S/S 07 shows on the arm of Janet Jackson, and should be hitting stores soon - so inquire at you’re closest Louis Vuitton boutique.

Bring in the New Year with the YSL Muse

The YSL Muse bag has resurfaced again before 2006 comes to an end. First surfacing in May this year toted around by the likes of Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan and Sienna Miller, it has reappeared on the arms of Paris ad Nicky Hilton and their re-newed best friend Nicole Richie who must have dug her yellow Muse out of the depths of her wardrobe.

Perhaps its time to dust off yours or pick up one from Saks, Nieman Marcus, and Bergdorf Goodman before the year ends.

Read more about the trend that is the YSL Muse at SASSYBELLA.com.

More post Xmas sales to check out!

I went Boxing Day shopping, a tradition I had put aside for many years to attend the Boxing Day Test (a annual cricket match in Melbourne). But this year I was off to the city shops and managed to pick up more than a few things on my (imaginary) shopping list.

A satin bow headband from Portmans
A French Connection red wine satin top
Kinki Gerlinki navy light summer trench coat
Kinki Gerlinki forrest green bubble dress with small floral embroidery
Jemma Kidd semi permanent mascara from Kit Cosmetics

And because I do have a slight addiction for keeping an eye on what else I could potentiall buy, I’ve currently got my eye on a few online sales too. One in particular is the one at FrockShop.com.au. They have this divine Bonita blue silk dress by Mad Cortes (pictured right) almost $200 off the retail price would be a fabulous addition to my wardrobe.

Other sales to check out:

Witchery.com.au for great closet basics and accessories

BlueFly.com amazing sales on a great selection of designer clothes, shoes and accessories

The Chanel Coco Cabas

Add the Chanel Coco Cabas to your list of instant IT bags.

If you happen to walk past one of these bags on the street you could easily mistake it for a trash bag, but look closer.

This Chanel black vinyl Coco Cabas bag comes with the iconic Chanel chain handles, a signature double C charm and the double C etched into the side of the bag. It’s ordinary trash bag – they also retail at $995 to $1,285.

While black vinyl is the most popular, it can also come in leather and – if you can find it – satin. They’re the hottest accessory in Paris and New York, with a months long waiting list at Chanel boutiques.

It’s a shame we’re not a beauty editor or director at a top fashion magazine – they were given a much coveted Chanel Coco Cabas last week as a holiday present. They arrived in oversized Chanel boxes at publishing houses like Heasrt and Conde Nast all wrapped with white satin Chanel ribbon. Talk about promoting Christmas Cheer.

Can’t stand waiting for one? Bag Borrow or Steal have it for you to borrow weekly or monthly. Get in quick!

You can even match them with these Chanel black vinyl knee high folder over boots. For pictures of the Coco Cabas bag being toted around the world, visit the NY Times and check out Bill Cunningham’s recent “On The Street” handbag exposé.

Kate in SIWY jeans… again

We mentioned in our first SASSYBELLA.com newsletter just how hot SIWY jeans were, and they still are.

Kate Moss can’t seem to part with her own SIWY’s (pictured right) either as she does some last minute Christmas shopping in London. Rumour has it Ms Moss squeezes herself into a size 25/26 in SIWY jeans. It seems that Ms Moss is also a big fan of the floral detail on the back pockets which lend the wearer a feminine and almost hippie vibe.

Buy them now online at AzaleaOnline.com/siwy.html or call (02) 9662 6888 for Australian stockists.

Lust-have: A Chloe clutch

It was my birthday on Wednesday and of course I was surfing endless online stores for things that I could lust after (and put on my Christmas wish-list).

It all started when I was digging around my closet for a suitable clutch to go with my dress for the work Christmas party. So I was on the hunt for another clutch. My dress was a pretty Third Millenium pale pink / off white one and all my clutches were either too dark, too winter, or blue.

Then I came across the Chloe Metallic Haley Clutch.

I have never been a big fan of the whole metallic clothes look (mainly because it will come in and out of style and make you look a little bulgy like jersey). But the metallic accessories look could definitely work. The oversized buttons, and gold hardware gives the bag a bit of a 60s vibe too.

On a side note, it is probably a good thing that Bergdorf Goodman don’t deliver to Australia on this occasion.

P.S. For a clutch I ended up using a small MOR metallic silver make-up bag with a peach satin sash tied in a bow to the zip. Everyone thought it was cute – little did they know (until I told them) that it was a make up bag!

Christina Ricci’s fans have dumped her

It’s getting worse for Christina Ricci, already named one of Peta’s worst dressed celebrities, and now one of her long time fans have dumped her.

The owners of the long running Christina Ricci fan site ChristinaRicci.info doesn’t want anything to do with their idol after they discovered that the actress agreed to wear reindeer fur on the cover of a fashion magazine.

“Well, that’s it,” reads the posting on the site. “I’ve had this Christina Ricci fan page for almost 8 years, but I recently found out Christina doesn’t appear to have a problem wearing fur. Well, I do. I also have a problem with people who wear fur. Conclusion: I have a problem with Christina. And now that problem is solved, because I don’t have a website about her anymore, so I no longer have anything to do with her.”
