September 30th, 2006 by Helen - Posted in Designers, News, StoresWith fashion week on, there has been no slowing down of fashion news… we can hardly keep up! Here are some snippits of the ones that have caught our eye…
- Love all things Marc Jacobs? Well soon you will be able to buy Marc Jacobs’s Waterford collection of fine china, glassware, flatware, barware, stemware and crystal and glass objects.
- Prince reigns in Milan at the Versace Milan Fashion Week show. The 80s pop icon composed an exclusive soundtrack for Donatella’s Spring 2007 runway show.
- Viktor & Rolf says I do to H&M. And designs a wedding dress that costs less than $350 for the special occasion! So all you brides out there (or Viktor & Rolf fans) better dust off your tents and work out your plan of attack because the duo’s chain store collection will hits H&M stores on November 9th.
- Could it be true that Chloe have finally picked a new designer, almost 10 months after Phoebe Philo resigned in January? WWD have tipped it will be one of Marni’s senior designers, Paolo Melin Anderson. This follows a trend started by Yves Saint Laurent and Gucci who have previously hired designers with low public profiles to head their high profile design houses.
