Mischa Barton paid over $100,000 to ‘love’ Australian fashion

Mischa Barton arrived in Australia with a large entourage yesterday to do a series of in store appearances and sit front row at the David Jones fashion launch tomorrow night.
“It will be such an honour to see all of the Australian designers,” she told the media.
But when asked what local designer she will be wearing, she stumbled. Prompting David Jones general manager apparel Collette Garnsey to jump in with Australian label Scanlan and Theodore.
And then when Barton was quizzed on her favourite designs, Garnsey also took control.
“We have gone through quite a nice range of fashion this morning,” said Garnsey. “And Mischa loves it. Alice McCall she really enjoys wearing.”
And it seems that Alice Mccall and Sass & Bide seem to be the only Australian designers the 20 year old could name.
“For me the Australian designers tend to have a lot of very colourful, pretty, unique designs,” said Barton.
“A lot of the labels like Alice McCall and Sass & Bide are unique and you can kind of see that in them. They make beautiful sun dresses and like quirky girly things.”
Oh well. She should be paid to sit and stare. Not hold press conferences.
When will people learn!
