Kit Willow Podgornik and Australian chain store Portmans have gotten together for a capsule range, reported in the Sunday papers.
The collection to be called, Dream of a Dress, will consist of just 8 dresses that will hit stores on October 4 with the dresses will remain in store for just one month. The dresses will range in price from $170 to $260, much cheaper than the usual $395 to $790.
“Willow have evolved into one of the highlight Australian designer brands,” Jacquie Naylor, womenswear merchandising director at the Just Group, which owns the Portmans label. “Her design philosophies, fabrications and style are aspirational to our Portmans girl and we felt that she was the perfect Australian talent to approach.”
But do not expect the lower priced garments to be the same quality as the RTW Willow collection. “The fabric and detail aren’t the same was the Willow brand,” Podgornik told the Sun Herald. But she did add that they are still “really flattering with a beautiful colour palette.”
