I thought skinny jeans have been ‘in’ since 2003. Though that could be the case everywhere in the world but America. Now that Fashion Wire Daily has said that they are “in”, the trend much have finally reached mainstream America.

Skinny jeans have been spotted everywhere in the last few years, on every young and fashionable starlet from Kate Moss and Sienna Miller, to Mischa Barton, Nicky Hilton, Rachel Bilson, Kate Bosworth, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, oh and Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan.

Worn with boots, ballet flats or sandals, it’s a clean streamline look. But steer clear if you aren’t a medium to small size. It is not flattering to all body shapes.

You might also think, skinny jeans are all the same. Unfortunately they aren’t. You can get the super skinny ones like most Tsubi styles and Lee Stupatubes. Or looser fitting skinny jeans like Levi’s and Sass & Bide’s.

Always try them on before you fork out a lot of money for them – and definitely don’t buy them if you don’t like the look of them on you.
