Scarlett Johansson for Louis Vuitton Fall 2007

Scarlett Johansson’s spring Louis Vuitton ads resembled big pink balls of cotton candy, but the Fall 07 Louis Vuitton ads resembled the old fashion kind of Hollywood glamour. The feel is opulence, with the rich blue velvet background and plum red accessories and coat. “In this one, she’s much more recognizable,” said Antoine Arnault, Vuitton’s communications director.

“It’s probably one of the most beautiful campaigns (photographers) Mert and Marcus have ever shot,” Arnault said. “It’s a very iconic campaign.”

Apparently Marc Jacobs was inspired by Johansson’s movie, Girl With a Pearl Earring, which was set in the 17th century, but he was not part of the shoot as he was still in rehab.
