Vogue’s ‘World’s Next Top Models’ cover

In the past American Vogue has had the likes of Daria Webowy, Gisele Bundchen, Gemma Ward and Karolina Kurkova together in on cover in their Models of the Moment cover in 2004. Now in their May 2007 cover they feature some of today’s hottest models in the white Gap shirts designed by Doo.Ri, Rodarte and Thakoon who were former CFDA/Vogue award winners.

The preview of the cover has been floating around the web for a few days now and feature up and coming models: Doutzen Kroes, Lily Donaldson, Hilary Rhoda, Sasha Pivovarova, Caroline Trentini, Chanel Iman, Raquel Zimmermann, Jessica Stam, Coco Rocha, and Agyness Deyn.

I prefer the layout of the September 2004, though I love the selection of models in the 2007 cover – Sasha, Lily and Stam are great though I am still a big Gemma Ward devotee. Chanel Iman creeps me out, she’s toooo thin and her name is weird, like she has been bred to be a model, fed on lettuce leaves since she was six or something.

I love the 2004 one too, the other covers by Annie Leibovitz reminds me of the Vanity Fair group covers too much. And of course the 2004 cover has Gemma on it, not Sasha.

i think the 2007 cover looks similar to the 1999 cover. and the 2004 cover looks very differently than the other ones. anyway, i like the 2007 cover since all the models wear the same kind of cloth and the colour of blue and white look perfect. Gemma no doubt,is the best model with the best image always.

sasha no doubt has the most intresting face

sasha seems to be the second coming of gemma. there is a french vogue cover that features both models and i can barely tell them apart. My opinion….. the “supermodels” will always be the cindy, claudia, naomi, linda grouping. Iman is thee supermodel…….she is the “one namer”, started along with janice and jerry and still booking covers. 2004 cover is all true stunners, no gimics, no attitudes. karolina is rare, and liya is a camellion, and daria’s eyes can penetrate granite

I like the look of the 2007, but i prefer to have Gemma Ward in and Chanel Iman out

no doubt the 90s supermodels will always be in the middle of the fashion industry.i looove the 1999 cover! i saw it from a coffe book of vogue i have at home and am really in love with it. i love all the supermodels of the golden age! from lauren to christy, to carolyn to kate..everyone has her own story and own fame.we all know they will all stay there, at the top, forever

The look of the ’07 cover but with the Supermodels of the ’99 cover!
I am not familiar with any of the ’07 models. I know, I’m so not with it…!
It’s scary (and a bit creepy) how alike the models of the ’04 cover are.
    They’re clones. Albeit spectacular ones.

The ’99 cover has exceptionally Beautiful Women with character, individuality…and longevity. Modern Muses indeed.

Agyness Deyn is the model of our generation. maybe you old people like Claudia or Christy or even Gisele but we love spunky, real and unsuperficial models 😀
