Vogue Germany June 2008 - Get Claudia Schiffer’s cleavage

This is a perfect example of how to make the most of the boobs you’ve got. If Claudia Schiffer can create the illusion of a full chest on the cover of Vogue Germany’s June 2008 Sex issue, what’s stopping you?

Just in case you’re wondering, yes the entire issue is dedicated to sex and other sexy things. I suppose the fact that Claudia is topless probably gives that away…

Check out scans from the issue here. Be warned, this is another link where you might not want to surf while at work.

Sassy Item of the Day: Zac Posen Tartan Bodysuit for Wolford

Zac Posen Tartan Bodysuit for Wolford

Love it because: Surfing Wolford is my guilty pleasure. I can never seem to afford anything (and when I can nothing is ever left in my size) but I love it nonetheless. And this just gave me extra reason as to why. The designer collaborations are always of high quality (Vivienne Westwood, Missioni, Posen) and the items are always luxurious and leave me wishing I could pull off a certain look.

That very feeling came across me when I saw this Posen tartan bodysuit, it’s boyleg cut and plunging V looks so fabulous paired with that puff sleeved white shirt I would be tempted to walk out of the house just like that.

Price: Down 50% from AUD$1229 to $614.50 (approx USD$575).

Skechers new spokesperson is… Tori Spelling and son

After years of targeting the teen market with spokespeople like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ashlee Simpson and Carrie Underwood, Skechers are targeting a new market.

The family market.

Now when you think aspirational family person, I bet you think of Tori Spelling.

The Beverly Hills 90210 star is set to feature in Skechers’ new ‘Nothing Compares to Family’ ads with her 13-month-old son, Liam, one in a series of family themed ads.

In celebration of family, the ‘Nothing Compares to Family’ campaign will see the ads tagged with a charity of the celebrity’s choice, ones that are family-related, such as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International or Habitat for Humanity, which builds homes for families.

Balloons keep Agyness Deyn modest for Peace

Peace by Ruth Hogben is a film which illustrates how political fashion may not need any clothes is illustrated by Agyness Deyn. Who is wearing nothing but her birthday suit and some semi-sheer balloons to cover her modesty in the film.

This movie is part of a project at ShowStudio to encouraging creative people to use the medium of fashion to convey their political beliefs, agendas and thoughts.

Check out the Ruth Hogben ft Agyness Deyn film here, it is a little NSFW.

A motley crew for Numero 93

Aptly titled The End of Innocence, Numero issue 93 (May 2008) has gathered some up and coming names for this motley crew shoot.

Karlie Kloss, Abbey Lee, and Georgina Stojiljkovic were joined by a very paint covered male model in this shoot that mixes flirty mini dresses with a rough-around-rocky-the-edges made up model. He must have spent more time in the make-up artists chair than the girls did combined!

The contrasts are rather intriguing in this rather unexpected combination. Or have I been reading too mainstream magazines for too long?

Anglomania Vivienne Westwood for Melissa – PVC shoes, really?

Mmmm… PVC shoes.

So not cool when they came in the form of Crocs, Anglomania Vivienne Westwood shoes for Melissa? It’s not exactly the strangest of collaborations considering the British brand is anti-conformist, and PVC shoes are definitely not conforming to fashion standards.

Melissa has collaborated with Anglomania to recreate Westwood’s popular Mary-Jane pump in a variety of patent PVC colours, while Melissa’s Ultragirl ballet flat has been given the Westwood touch with tartan or rose patterned inner soles.

No word on how much these will set you back, but how expensive can PVC shoes be?

As expected, Sarah Jessica Parker lands the cover of Vogue

Sex and the City the movie just premiered in London, which is due it cinemas in two weeks and the stars even filmed inside the Vogue offices. So really one would have expected this US Vogue cover, timed to perfection of course.

Sarah Jessica Parker was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for the June 2008 cover of US Vogue, which left us wondering just a few things.

  • Did the art department leave all the lines on SJP’s face, or just a few? (Though, we’re glad there are some considering the amount of botox ladies these days)
  • Who’s legs is she sitting in? Big (aka Chris Noth)?
  • Why wasn’t this a shared cover with the rest of the SATC girls? It’s not all about Carrie Bradshaw.
  • And is that smouldering look she’s trying to pull off?

What are your thoughts on this cover?

Jean-Paul Gaultier to add his two cents worth during Eurovision 2008

In the past French designer Jean-Paul Gaultier has dressed entrants into the kitschiest of all singing contests, Eurovision, in the past but this year he’s taken his involvement to the television screens of the French in a role he’s not quite known for - a television commentator.

Gaultier will be on the screens of French TV channel, France 3, for the finals of Eurovision on May 24. But don’t for a second think he’s doing this for the publicity. He’s a self confession childhood fan of the patriotic singing competition!

“I have watched Eurovision ever since I was a child,” he said. “[Acting as a commentator is] a pleasure and almost a childish dream.”

While the French might not be happy about their contestant, they surely must tune in just to hear Gaultier’s commentary on the fashion, if not the music.

For those who don’t quite know what Eurovision is, think American Idol, but pitting European country representatives against each other in a continent wide competition. To give an example of the kitsch factor, Abba entered one year and won with the song Waterloo.

See below for Eurovision 2006 winner, Anna Vissi’s, performance to get an idea of the kitsch factor - Vissi wore a Gaultier designed outfit for her performance.

Carrie Bradshaw wears 81 outfits in the city

Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in Sex and the City the television series inspired many fashion trends and the upcoming movie is set to make even bigger waves.

Carrie Bradshaw is said to have worn 81 outfits. Yes, eighty-one.

In her upcoming appearance on Oprah, SJP lets slip that she went through many outfit changes, with 200 changes between Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.

We’ve only seen about 10 different looks on Carrie through paparazzi shots and movie stils, so we’ll have to wait another few weeks before we can see all 81 outfits for ourselves. Let’s just hope we see some amazing combinations unlike this one on the right.

Have you pre-booked your tickets for yourself and your best friends at a cinema near you?
