CHANNELLING: Maria Sharapova

She's six feet tall, blonde and the current reigning women's Wimbledon Champion. Maria Sharapova has been setting trends on the tennis court and off it.

After she won Wimbledon this year she showed up at the ball in a gorgeous gold Louis Vuitton outfit that she just 'picked out' just hours before. And boy did she get tongue's wagging about her. Then months later she shows up at the Kirsten Dunst movie Wimbledon in a gorgeous black dress with gold detailing looking a million dollars and everyone knew she was here to stay.

Whether she's attending a signing or red carpet event, Maria always looks pulled together and stylish. She often keeps her look simple with slick jeans and a pretty top, preferably some sort of pattern to keep the look together and stylish. Other time she is decked out in her sponsor's Nike gear while training for hours to keep her game in top condition.

And for the big events? Maria takes everything up a notch or two. At the Wimbledon premiere she let her black dress be the centre piece with her hair, her tan and her bag complementing the gold streaks in the dress. This girl knows fashion, on and off court and I can't help but be just a little jealous.

Who wouldn't want to be beautiful, young, rich and travel the world as a talented tennis player? It is also reported that she has a perfume in the works with the same
people who brought us Paris Hilton's perfume...
