8 HOT: Cropped Jeans

I am obsessed with jeans, my collection is one where my sister riffles through when she decides she has "no decent jeans" to wear (though she knows to stay away from my pricier jeans - thank god). My favourite year-round pair is my cropped jeans.
Why? They are just so versatile, and show off your legs. You can pair dress them up with some gorgeous heels for a night out with that dream guy or with friends, or pair them with some knee high boots for everyday wear in winter. And then there is the option of wearing a baggy pair with some sneakers or a pair of converse shoes. Not a sneaker kind of girl? Then you can slip on a pretty pair of ballet flats, or in summer do has most of the Australian population does, and wear flip flops.
Another great thing about cropped jeans is that they now come in about as many styles and their longer siblings come in. With skin tight pairs to baggy one, ones that stop just above your ankle, or ones that are cropped above the knee so they resemble long-ish shorts. Don't even get me started on the washes available, let's just say there's a lot!
You can wear cropped jeans just about anywhere too, look at Cate Blanchett, she's wearing a chic pair of cropped jeans on the red carpet, and pairs with some very cute heels. And then there's Jessica Simpson teaming her rolled up cropped jeans with a hot pair of boots for a day out shopping or whatever it is that she does these days. And let's not forget the zillion different pairs a Ms Sarah Jessica Parker wore in all those GAP ads.
Did I mention you can make your own cropped jeans? By getting out a sharp pair of scissors and cutting evenly across both legs (do get out a tape measure or something, because uneven leg lengths is never a great look) to whatever length suits you. But if cutting a pair of jeans is a little too painful, roll up the cuffs. Easy, cheap and you can roll them back down if your ankles get cold!
