Australian beauty lovers, the date you need to mark down in your calendar is December 5, 2014. Why? Because that is when Sephora are launching their inaugural Australian flagship store at Westfield Sydney, right on Pitt St Mall at exactly midday AEST.
The final countdown will see a giant alarm clock installed on the store front on Thursday 27 November, counting down the week before doors finally open to welcome the very first customers in the country.
“It has been a long time coming – especially for our devoted Australian Sephora fans – although we know the wait will be worth it”, said Sephora Country Manager, Fiona Novak.
A few weeks ago we attended the media preview at Carriageworks in Sydney to get an insight into what we can expect to find at Australia’s first Sephora store. We got up close and personal with brand founders from Per-fekt and IT Cosmetics, as well as talking to representatives from Tarte, Makeup Forever and Kat Von D (who showed us Kat’s personal favourite lipstick shade).

How to get in on the Sephora Australia fun before the launch
On Friday 28, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November from 11AM – 2PM, Sephora brand ambassadors will be outside the store issuing ‘Sephora Survival Kits’ containing goodies including Sephora eye-shades, mirrors and sunglasses, along with details of an exciting ‘Sephora Sleepover’ competition. This offers four lucky winners and their ‘BFFs’ (Best Friend Forever) an exclusive and luxurious overnight ‘pamper experience’ and the opportunity to be first in store on opening day.
Launch day festivities on Friday December 5 will commence at 8am with music, entertainment, giveaways and more.
