[UPDATE] SEPHORA HAVE RESCINDED THEIR PLANS TO SHIP TO AUSTRALIA.
No reason has been given and they are encouraging fans to use Tarazz, an Australian drop shipping website, for Sephora orders.

Sephora in America is known as cloud nine or heaven for any beauty product-loving girl. Why? Because buying beauty products in America, even with an average US exchange rate, can be up to 50% cheaper than buying them in Australia (or anywhere else around the world). It is every Sephora-loving fan girls wish that Sephora.com ships to Australia – and now those prayers have been answered.

With no big fanfare announcement (we found out through our friends at The Plastic Diaries), Sephora has launched international shipping with global e-commerce provider Borderfree, shipping to Australia, Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom. Upon further inspection though, shipping to Australia doesn’t look like it has been activated – even though it is listed as a country that Sephora.com will ship to – this could be updated within the next few hours, so just keep an eye on your checkout basket.

Known as an external check out system (much like the ones used by other major online stores like Neiman Marcus and Macy’s), Borderfree won’t allow international shoppers to be eligible for Beauty Insider points or enjoy offers requiring a promotion code.

How much will shipping be?

Like with most forms of international shipping, the price will depend on the size and weight of your order.

Will there be any restrictions on brands?

There will be some restrictions on brands – we tried putting through an order on some of our favourite items and found that NARS was unavailable for international shipping.
