Giles Deacon teams up with Sky Ride to make cycling fashionable

British fashion designer Giles Deacon has teamed up with Sky Ride to create an exclusive cycling accessory that they hope will bring together fashion with practicality, a limited edition bag.

The Giles Deacon for Sky Ride snake print bag gives the owner the ability to use it as a chic satchel and can be clipped on to the handlebars. Besides fashion, it’s functional with the bag made out of reflective and waterproof material. Available in two colours, hot pink and turquoise, the bag features a striking badge which references Giles’ SS13 collection.

Giles Deacon said “I am thrilled to be collaborating with Sky Ride this year. As a keen cyclist myself I have designed a limited edition bag that is both functional and eye catching – and will make sure women look and feel fantastic on their bikes. The bag acts as a modern day bicycle basket but can also be used as a day to day bag. It’s the ideal shape and size to use on your bike but also at work or out with friends. I hope women love it and hopefully it will help to dispel the myth that being active means having to sacrifice your sense of style.”

The Giles Deacon for Sky Ride bag be available to buy from early October for £40 but you will can register your interest now at goskyride.com.

Sky Ride is a national campaign from British Cycling and Sky to get one million more people cycling regularly by 2013.
