Miranda Kerr gets waxed by Madame Tussauds Sydney wearing Alex Perry

She’s modelled in her knickers, told the world about how she had her baby boy Flynn and Miranda Kerr can now tick off ‘replica wax model’ from her list of lifetime achievements. Madame Tussauds Sydney revealed today that they have made a wax figure of the Australian Victoria’s Secret Angel – unveiled today at a photoshoot.

“We are thrilled that Miranda is joining our star-studded attraction. It goes without saying that she will be a massive hit at Madame Tussauds Sydney for both locals and international visitors alike. Given this is the first time a wax figure of Miranda has been made, you can imagine how curious everyone is to see how her beauty has been translated into wax. I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed, it is spot on and the detail is just flawless” said Hywel Mathias, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Sydney.

Creating a wax model of Miranda was no mean feat, she had over 500 measurements and photographs taken of her by the Madame Tussauds team while the wax figure took over four months to complete. Wearing a stunning red gown by Australian fashion designer Alex Perry, the wax model version of Miranda was put through her paces in the photoshoot with her trademark dimples on display as a wind machine swept the hair from her face.

“Miranda is such a loving icon to work with; she radiates beauty inside and out. It’s such an honour that she has chosen her wax figure to wear the scarlet red gown I designed for her,” said Alex Perry. “It looked absolutely gorgeous on her then and it still looks sensational on her now. I’m delighted that she has been selected by Madame Tussauds to be immortalised in wax – it’s such an awesome opportunity for her fans to get up close to her and see how beautiful she really is.”

Miranda Kerr joins the likes of Hugh Jackman, Kylie Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Nicole Kidman, Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo Dicaprio, Rihanna, Michael Jackson and Johnny Depp to have a wax figure in Madame Tussauds Sydney.
