Paris Fashion Week: Chloe Spring/Summer 2012 gives us the sophisticated Parisian

Clare Waight Keller presented her first collection for Chloe in the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris for Spring/Summer 2012 on a crisp white wooden catwalk. The collection was breezy, modern and unmistakeably Parisian and in stark contrast Isabel Marant’s bohemian Parisian. Silk featured heavily in the collection which drew on pastels from blush, to sand and white inter-mixed with vibrant turquoise and coral with delicate floral embroidery on the edges of dresses and pants. The silhouettes were flowing and dresses were accessorised with belts to give a waist or left just loosely flowing and pants were wide legged and sat at the hip.

What caught our eye in this collection were the sleek blazers – either a blush version that was matched with a white shirt and cream floral embroidered pants or the hot coral piece matched with latte coloured shorts and horizontal stripe top. Several other stand out pieces included a crisp white maxi dress with turquoise piping and a coral and beige shirt dress with a cheeky split to the thigh. Another important mention goes to the accessories and clutches have replaced the larger bags for this season. Available in either wallet size with a hand strap or slightly larger as a pochette in the hot coral or soft beige colour, they will most likely become the bag of choice for Alexa Chung or Olivia Palermo this season.
