Gretchen Jones’ Piperlime collection is actually kind of cool

She may not have been the most popular designer on Project Runway (and not just for season 8) but say what you will about Gretchen Jones, she knows what her target market wants and she gives it to them. Together with Piperlime, Jones has launched a jewelry line to support and raise awareness for Aid to Artisans, an organization devoted to providing economic opportunities to help artisans build profitable craft businesses.

According to the release she worked with the Ipuna Artisan Workshop in Bogota, Colombia to create a 14-piece jewelry collection that includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings and even a body piece. Priced between $48 – $120, 100% of the net profits will be donated back to Aid to Artisans to support artisan groups around the world.

The Piperlime collection is made up of pyramid shapes which follows the tribal designs Jones has for sale on her own website. Inspired by Egypt, the collection is all gold plated to help you channel your inner Cleopatra.
