RAFW: Bec & Bridge Spring/Summer 2011-12

We think Bec & Bridge are two top Aussie chicks who got lost in 1970s New York City this season. Their Spring/Summer 2011-12 collection at Rosemount Australian Fashion week was inspired by Lauren Hutton (circa late 1970s) walking down Fifth Avenue with the Chrysler Building glinting in the background. Needless to say that the runway collection was full of beautiful streamlined trouse, shorts, jackets, loose tops with a few crochet pieces to add that hint of hippie. A beautiful collection that will no doubt be popular with the non-hobo crowd, our favourite part was the collaboration with the iconic Australian hat brand Akubra for a series of stylish hats that topped off a sexy wavy locks created by KMS California’s International Artistic Director Clive Allwright.
