Pre-Australian Fashion Week has kicked off in earnest and last night we went backstage to Thurley to check out the beauty by Napoleon Perdis. This look is already one of my faves and we are still only in preview week, but I am sure the classic look will be a hit in the long run. To tie-in with Thurley’s ‘woodsey-nymph’ collection, the make-up was kept simple. It was a clean, polished but slightly undone ready-to-wear beauty look and in my opinion it complimented the beautiful clothes perfectly, rather than overshadow.

Skin: Flawless complexions were amplified with Napoleon Complex Skin Renewal Serum. For those few models who needed a bit of coverage Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer and Advanced Mineral Makeup was used.

Brows: Napoleons secret “wow brow” was created by brushing brows upwards, then set with Peep Show Mascara in Madame Crystal and the warmth of a blow dryer.

Eyes: The lids were given an olive green stain by using a mix of Eye Pencil colours in Bottle Green, Gold Standard, Brown Sugar and coated with Lip Lacquer in Clearly Glam for a dewy finish. Lashes were coated in Mesmer-Eyes Mascara and lined with Light Patrol Silver.

Cheeks: A lightly flushed nude cheek was created with Color Disc in Trench Coat and highlighted with Light Patrol Pink Ice.

Lips: A slick coat of DéVine Goddess Lipstick in Hess gave the girls a natural pout.

Hair: To keep with the natural, slick and slightly undone look, hair was sleeked back with some Fibre Gum into a tight ponytail and fitted with a long ribbon. The ‘wet hair’ look complimented the fresh dewy skin and made the girls look like they had just emerged from a magical forest.

Nails: All the girls wore a semi-matte, cold grey colour on their fingers and moss green on their toes. It complimented the collections colour palette perfectly.

Where To Wear It

Anywhere! This look is so pretty and can easily be worn throughout the seasons for a day look, or add some darker eyeliner or a bolder lip for a night look.
