We held a secret love for Sweet Valley High and University books and Esprit in our pre-teen years, so it’s with rose-coloured glasses that I will gush about the Esprit Spring/Summer 2011 ad campaign starring Australian model Jessica Hart, Cameron Russell and Shu Pei Qin on the campus of the famous UCLA campus.
The Esprit Spring/Summer 2011 collection was inspired by the American preppy style of the 1970s, combined with the influences from the 1950s, giving the photoshoot a pearly-whites-everything-is-just-peachy feel.It was styled by Peter Teuterwalk and photographed by Dewey Nicks.
We only have three photos from the shoot, and while we love the United-Colors-of-Benetton-style photo featuring the new Spring/Summer 2011 trench coat, the shots below features a denim jacket, which begs the question, fashion forward or fashion 1990s? Meanwhile, we love the pink trousers Shu Pei is wearing. We can’t wait to see more when the shots featuring Erin Wasson for Esprit High Summer 2011 are released.
