She’s hot and she’s cold… the next thing you know… Katy Perry has been announced as the new face of ghd in a multi-year global partnership collaboration with the ad campaign shot by David LaChapelle.

To make the whole affair slightly more incestuous, the partnership also involves ghd signing on as the International Tour Sponsor for her California Dreams 2011 tour.

Needless to say we’re expecting Perry to be giving better hair from now on – not that there is anything wrong with her messy-or-straight black locks with a blunt fringe. But now’s the time to try jazz up her hair a little.
This marks the first time a celebrity of Perry’s magnitude has fronted an ad campaign for ghd who’s previous campaigns have been based around vows and not sinning (which also earned them a banning in England). ghd are pulling out all the stops for their new ghd Gold series to make sure they maintain their place as the number one selling hair styler as the incumbent Cloud Nine hair straightener continues to make waves in the UK and Australia.
