Heading home from Firenze4Ever with LuisaViaRoma

We started this blog post almost a week ago at the airport lounge in Dubai airport (our second stop on our way home from Florence, Italy). Then a few airline delays and a very persistent virus/bug later… here it is.

So we’re on our way home from our short (but sweet) trip to Florence for LuisaViaRoma‘s second edition of Firenze4Ever and we’re very sorry we didn’t take the time to blog from our travels.

The number one reason? Well tied for number one is the fact the flu I suspected was on the horizon kicked in somewhere over the Indian Ocean (on the way to Italy) and left me hotel-bed ridden for 2.5 days. Then when we checked into our second hotel of our stay, my trusty netbook and the hotel wifi did not agree. Neither did my Blackberry. A case of misunderstanding language wise I presume. Much like the start of my trip when I managed to visit Milan from Rome, instead of getting to Florence which lies smack in the middle of the two fashion capitals. Ah the joys of a vast train network. Now I can say I’ve technically been to Milan and Rome, not that I’ve seen any of their fabulous attractions. Maybe next time.

Since I’ve managed to wax lyrical about the shortcomings of my trip, I may just leave you with a sneak preview of a look we styled from LuisaViaRoma’s Spring/Summer 2011 range, with the stunning Duomo in the background.

Note: SASSYBELLA.com was invited to Florence by LuisaViaRoma to take part in their Firenze4Ever Blogger Event and were not paid/is under no obligation to blog about the event.
