Daria Werbowy for Oroton (again) for Autumn/Winter 2011

Sometimes a supermodel and a fashion brand form a perfect partnership. Case in point, Australia’s luxury label Oroton has unveiled their second advertising campaign with Canadian supermodel Daria Werbowy for Autumn/Winter 2011.

Daria’s striking beauty is perfectly contrasted against the marble wall and the soft luxury that is Oroton’s Autumn/Winter 2011 collection of bags, jewellery, lingerie and soft knits (which we all saw in person last week and love). I love the contrasting photos that showcase Oroton and Daria’s softer side (above) and then their sleek and sexy features (below) – not to mention the beautiful Autmn/Winter 2011 campaign video (watch it below).

The ad campaign, like the Spring/Summer 2010 ad campaign, was shot by David Mandelberg in a Palm Springs mansion which immediately resounded with Oroton’s Creative Director Ana Maria Escobar – “We walked into the living room and couldn’t help but notice the most amazing marble wall. The owner of the house explained in a very passionate way how the marble wall is an ‘open book cut’, a very crafty way of working marble and a very rare find…we loved the color pallet of the space, the light, and the shiny deco, but I have to say it all made sense when Daria slipped on the mesh gold dress – this definitely embodied the new and old Oroton in an instant.”

The Oroton Autumn/Winter 2011 collection tells the tale of ‘Bygone Stories’, inspired by the history of the brand’s roots in 1938 when they began importing silks from Japan and in 1951 when the first mesh Oroton products were released.

We love the mesh & leather bag (pictured above) but there are more amazing pieces to check out on the Oroton website when the collection launches tomorrow January 25, 2011.
