Toni Maticevski joins 5 designers to ‘give back’ for US Glamour magazine

He’s one of Australia’s most prominent exports in New York City, showing almost every season at New York Fashion Week for the last few years. So it comes as no surprise that Toni Maticevski was chosen along with 5 other fashion designs to create a limited edition tote bag as part of Glamour magazine’s “Fashion Gives Back” campaign. Maticevski was chosen along with US First Lady, Michelle Obama, favourite Prabal Gurung, Dana Lorenz of Fenton/Fallon, Genevieve Jones, Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty of Suno, and Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs of Cushnie et Ochs.

In its fifth season, Glamour‘s “Fashion Gives Back” campaign was a project originally created to profile rising designers while doing good – ideal for the up and coming talents of the six designers. Each designer was tasked into creating an original image that reflects their creativity and inimitable vision and have also been featured in Glamour‘s October 2010 issue (with Glee‘s Lea Michele on the cover).

The fifth edition of “Fashion Gives Back” is available exclusively at Henri Bendel stores and online at HenriBendel.com now with each tote retailing at $68. 100% of the proceeds from each bag sold will go to the National Audubon Society, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of birds and wildlife.

We love the totes, but we thought Toni’s could have been a little more special, no? We have our eye on Prabal Gurung’s too.
