Teaser video: Roberto Cavalli 40th anniversary book, the photoshoot

Everyone and his dog are creating videos for a launch of a new collection, product or book as the case is with Roberto Cavalli. In celebration of his Italian fashion houses 40th year in the fashion industry, Cavalli has created a book ‘for telling the story, documenting and recollecting it, reordering this heritage of ideas within a book entitled Roberto Cavalli‘.

Inside are 200 pages of images starring some of Cavalli’s leading ladies over the years, including Jennifer Lopez (who wore that plunging and belly-button-baring dress back in 2000) and his many supermodel fans and faces: Cindy Crawford, Heidi Klum, Gisele Bündchen, Natasha Poly, Maria Carla Boscono, Sasha Pivovarova, Lara Stone, Carolyn Murphy, Erin Wasson, Angela Lindvall, Julia Stegner and Karolina Kurkova.

The book, Roberto Cavalli,  was shot by Mert & Marcus with creative direction by Fabien Baron and is set for release on January 25, 2011 – with Amazon offering a pre-order price of USD$53.55.

In usual PR mumbo jumbo, the book reportedly is:

A direction that can be described as transgressive because it is decisive, uninhibited because it is aware, glamorous because it deliberately heads towards construction, narration, transformation, continual reinvention of femininity, luxury and elegance.
