Angela Lindvall for John Hardy: charity jewelry line and ad campaign

Angela Lindvall has always been one of my favourite models, more so lately thanks to her philanthropic work outside of fashion. She has just been unveiled as the face of John Hardy’s Fall 2010 ad campaign, photographed by Sebastian Kim. The campaign was photographed in New York City, in a set built to resemble the exotic surrounds of the company’s self-sustaining headquarters in Bali.

Lindvall and Hardy didn’t stop at working together on the ad campaign, as a personal friend to the brand’s Creative Director, Guy Bedarida, they worked together to design a new collection of recycled and sustainable silver jewelry called Hijau – which means “green” in Balinese – which features rings, bangles, earrings and dramatic cuffs priced from $295 to $3,000. The collection resembles the beautiful Balinese bamboo you see the campaign image above.

10% of the sales from the John Hardy Hijau collection will be donated to Forest Ethics, an organization that protects endangered forests and wildlife while a special $95 charm bracelet made from woven organic cotton cord will have 100% of its proceeds donated to the charity.

The pieces are as beautiful as it is wonderful collaboration for the preservation of forests and their animals.
