Lizzy Jagger and Jethro Cave bring rock n’ roll cred to C’N’C CoSTUME NATIONAL for A/W 2010

CoSTUME NATIONAL’s younger streetwear brand C’N’C has enlisted the help of some rock n’ roll royalty — well their model spawn to be exact — for their Autumn/Winter 2010-11. Lizzy Jagger and Australia’s Jethro Cave have some very famous parents in the form of Mick Jagger & Jerry Hall (Lizzy) and Nick Cave (Jethro) but have carved out respectable careers of their own on the international modeling scene and bring a moody and rebellious sensibility to the advertising campaign.

The campaign is “a synthesis of nature and street culture, the merge of organic and inorganic, concrete and green, urban and wild. And a statement: nature takes over,” said Costume National’s founder Ennio Capasa in a release about the C’N’C Autumn/Winter 2010-11 campaign.

The younger Jagger and Cave were photographed in London’s Richmond Park by Dan Martense and was an ideal location for the photoshoot because it illustrated the ‘ideal compromise between the energy of the city and chance to get lost in nature’.

Capasa bet on the model spawn’s irrepressible personalities to interpret the C’N’C CoSTUME NATIONAL spirit and they do bring a slightly edgier appeal to the brand. Though I can’t help but think that their faces dominate in a campaign where the clothes just don’t shine through.
