The groundbreaking Cloud Nine hair straightener comes to Australia

The ghd hair styler (aka straightener) has corner the market for the last decade, even with their high price point. But a formidable competitor has hit the Australian scene – the Cloud Nine. Created by the original founders and inventers of the ghd, Cloud Nine brings more to the table than just a switch-on-and-tong styler. This one has more features while using the amazing brains and technology that made their first revolutionary product so popular. What are these features?

Well the first and the more foremost in my mind is the temperature control panel, a swivel cord, a heat guard for safety and easy storage and the very important universal voltage (which I know many travelers and international hair straightener lovers will find handy).

But who uses the Cloud Nine?

Well Kate Moss’ hair stylist James Brown does, not to mention some of best hair stylists in the world backstage at fashion shows internationally at Prada, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Lanvin, YSL, Miu Miu, Chloe, Alberta Feritti, Sonia Rykiel and Versace. Not to mention carving out some Australian backstage space at Camilla and Marc, Friedrich Gray, Konstantina Mittas, Ksubi, Lui Hon and Terese Rawsthorne during Australian Fashion Week this May.

We’re currently pulling together a compare and contrast article featuring the Cloud Nine styler vs the ghd IV styler – we’ve managed to loan a Cloud Nine and borrowed the ghd IV Styler from a friend to run some tests. Stay tuned!

Cloud Nine Styler RRP AUD$279

In the mean time, why is it important to have different temperatures in a hair straightener? If you want particular finishes, there are ideal temperatures to achieving that with the Cloud Nine.

where can I get a cloud nine hair straightner, in Brisbane?

also are they better than the GHD?
I never owned one, but am looking to owning a straightner, I was looking into the GHD until my friend told me she heard that Cloud Nine was the new GHD.

I prefer the Karmin G3 Salon Pro which has tourmaline ceramic plates that cause less damage to the hair, it heats up to 460F for all hair textures, it leaves my hair soft, shiny and very straight, I luv it 🙂

I’ve tried different brands of products and I prefer straighten my hair with the Karmin G3 Salon Pro, it works pretty good, removes static and leaves my hair silky and shiny 🙂

Hi all, I was wondering what stores/salons stock the Cloud 9? I’ve searched on the Hairhouse Warehouse site and they don’t seem to have it.
