Mulberry to collaborate with Target for handbag collection
British luxury accessory brand Mulberry has been named as the next designer brand to design a limited edition collection for Target America. Known for creating classic ‘IT’ bags like the Roxanne, Bayswater, Emmy, Mabel and the most recent hit, the Alexa, Mulberry has built itself a legion of celebrity fans from Kate Moss to Sienna Miller, Alexa Chung, Emma Watson and Kate Bosworth.
WWD announced that the collection will launch on October 10, 2010 with the limited edition handbag collection called Mulberry for Target. Unfortunately no other tidbits were revealed, but stay tuned.
I must admit I’m a little disappointed at the news of this partnership because I love Mulberry and the quality of their leather goods. A collection for Target and their ‘disposable fashion’ would tarnish the brand’s luxury appeal somewhat. What do you think of the news?

oh, shut it! if you loved mulberry and couldn’t afford it (like i can’t) you wouldn’t be disappointed at all.
American Target has so many great designer lines.. my sister lived there a few years ago and literally shopped in Target the entire year. She was living in quite a small town so there weren’t exactly too many choices, but she got some great stuff.. i think her fave was a pair of Jessica Simpson jeans!
